Backdrops
A different set around every corner.
The finishes change from one kitchen to the next, so a single day can cover several moods.

Light
Daylight from the street, a ceiling full of spotlights.
Tall windows face the street, so the light changes through the day and the sun sometimes reaches the floor. Overhead track lighting fills in when it does not. Brick, concrete and timber beams keep it all from looking like a catalogue.
Come and see it at the hour you plan to shoot. We are happy to arrange that.

Good to know
Before you pick a date
What is the light like?
Tall street-side windows bring in daylight, and on a sunny day the sun reaches the floor. Overhead track lighting covers the rest of the day.
Can we move the furniture or change the styling?
The kitchens are built in and stay as they are. Ask us about the smaller pieces, such as furniture and styling, and we will tell you what can move.
How do people get to the bedroom and wardrobes?
They are on the mezzanine, reached by a stair or by the elevator inside the showroom.
Where do trucks and equipment go?
Load in through the bay on Abbott Street, or through the main double doors, which are 11 feet wide and open onto both Water Street and Abbott Street. There is no on-site parking, and a few commercial spots on Abbott are first come, first served. Gastown is a busy shooting neighbourhood and most crews arrive with their own parking plan. We are glad to talk through load-in before you book.
What does it cost?
Rates depend on the date, the hours and the kind of use. Send us a few details and we will reply with a quote.
Tell us what you have in mind.
A date, a rough idea and the size of your group is enough to start. We reply in plain terms with what is possible and what it costs.
