Film and video
Interiors that are already built, lit and ready for a crew.
Skip the set build. Kitchens, a dining room, a bedroom and a brick-and-timber hall wait inside the main doors, with a loading bay just outside.

Rooms
A few settings, one load-in.
Everything sits on one floor, apart from the bedroom and wardrobes on the mezzanine, which has a stair and an elevator.

Getting in
Load-in is easier than you would expect for Gastown.
The main doors are a pair, 11 feet wide, and open onto both Water Street and Abbott Street. The loading bay is on Abbott. There is no parking on site, and a few commercial spots on Abbott are first come, first served, so most crews arrange their own trucks the way they do for any Gastown shoot.
Tell us about trucks, power and hours early and we will help you plan around them.

Good to know
What crews ask first
Where do trucks and equipment go?
Load in through the bay on Abbott Street, or through the main double doors, which are 11 feet wide and open onto both Water Street and Abbott Street. There is no on-site parking, and a few commercial spots on Abbott are first come, first served. Gastown is a busy shooting neighbourhood and most crews arrive with their own parking plan. We are glad to talk through load-in before you book.
How many people can the space hold?
Up to 60 people at a time. That is room for a full crew with talent and clients, or for a seated or standing event.
Can we cook on site?
Yes. We have a live kitchen with eight working cooktops, each with downdraft ventilation, and it is where we run our cooking classes and demonstrations. Tell us what you plan to cook and for how many people, and we will confirm it suits the kitchen.
What is the light like?
Tall street-side windows bring in daylight, and on a sunny day the sun reaches the floor. Overhead track lighting covers the rest of the day.
Do we need insurance?
Yes. We ask for a certificate of insurance for shoots and events, and a short location agreement before we confirm a date.
What does it cost?
Rates depend on the date, the hours and the kind of use. Send us a few details and we will reply with a quote.
Tell us what you have in mind.
A date, a rough idea and the size of your group is enough to start. We reply in plain terms with what is possible and what it costs.
